Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about virtual therapy, insurance coverage, and what to expect from professional psychotherapy services with Cibelly Zedan serving clients across Ontario.

How do I know if I need therapy?

You might benefit from therapy if you're experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, or stress that interfere with daily life. Other signs include difficulty sleeping, relationship problems, overwhelming emotions, or feeling stuck in life patterns.

Is therapy covered by insurance in Ontario?

Yes! Many extended health insurance plans in Ontario cover services from Registered Psychotherapists. Coverage varies by plan, but many cover 80-100% of session costs up to annual limits. I provide official receipts for insurance claims.

What should I expect in my first therapy session?

Your first session focuses on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your current concerns, goals, relevant history, and what you hope to achieve. I'll explain my approach and answer any questions you have.

Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?

Yes, I offer secure virtual therapy sessions for clients across Ontario using encrypted, HIPAA-compliant platforms. Virtual therapy is my primary service model, allowing me to serve clients throughout the province. Many clients find virtual therapy convenient and just as effective as in-person sessions.

How often will I need therapy sessions?

Most clients start with weekly sessions for consistent progress. As you improve, we might move to bi-weekly or monthly sessions. We'll work together to determine the best schedule for your needs, budget, and goals.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours advance notice for appointment cancellations. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows may be charged the full session fee. Emergency situations are handled case-by-case.
